Xchange USA 2026 Panel

Houston, Texas | November 18, 2026

LOS ALAMOS, N.M. — October 8, 2026 — Aegis BioScience is pleased to announce that Jesse Hipps, CEO and Co-Founder, will participate as a panelist at CCUS Xchange USA 2026 in Houston, Texas.

Hipps will join industry leaders for the panel discussion “Pathways to Commercial-Scale CCUS: Deployment Strategies, Risk Allocation, and Market Readiness.” The session will examine the technical, financial, regulatory, and commercial challenges that must be addressed to move carbon capture, utilization, and storage technologies toward commercial deployment.

Discussion topics will include:

  • Leveraging digitalization, automation, and artificial intelligence to improve operating efficiency and commercial-scale CCUS economics

  • Navigating decarbonization challenges and federal tax policy affecting hydrogen production and storage

  • Building commercially bankable projects through strategic revenue streams and improved risk allocation

  • Addressing subsurface environmental risks, legacy well integrity, and Class VI permitting

  • Accelerating emerging carbon-utilization technologies through value-added products, technology de-risking, and strategic industry-laboratory partnerships

For Aegis BioScience, the final theme is particularly relevant to the company’s strategy of developing advanced biological platforms that use carbon dioxide and sunlight as inputs for the production of higher-value renewable industrial chemicals and materials.

“Commercial-scale carbon utilization requires more than proving that the science works,” said Hipps. “We must demonstrate product value, reduce technical risk in stages, validate markets before committing major capital, and build partnerships that allow each participant to manage the risks they are best equipped to address. Carbon should increasingly be viewed not only as an emission to be managed, but as a potential feedstock for creating economic value.”

Panel Members

  • Farook Khan — Siemens

  • David Edwards — Air Liquide

  • Linal Perera — Svante

  • Danny Kingham — GSI Environmental

  • Jesse Hipps — Aegis BioScience

The panel brings together perspectives spanning industrial technology, carbon capture, project development, environmental risk management, and emerging carbon-utilization technologies.

Aegis BioScience’s participation reflects the company’s broader mission to advance microalgae-based carbon utilization technologies capable of converting CO₂ into renewable specialty chemicals, materials, and other high-value industrial products.
